The Roald Dahl Museum reopens!

The Roald Dahl Museum reopens!

The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre is re-opening on Thursday 10 September, after being closed for almost 6-months following the coronavirus lockdown – and it will be offering a unique personal visitor experience unlike any other UK museum or gallery, to ensure every single visitor feels safe and secure.

The new-look VIP visitor experience will involve pre-booked guided visits for groups of up to ten people from the same family or ‘bubble’. This means visitors can visit the museum in Great Missenden (just an hour from central London) with confidence, and won’t have to share any spaces inside the building with another group.  This unique and exclusive experience is an opportunity for guests of all ages to explore the museum like never before, in the company of an expert guide.

Ahead of every visit, the ticket booker will receive a phone call where they will be asked to share their favourite Dahl stories and characters, so their visit can be personalised with rarely seen archive material (projected on screens).

Obviously this VIP visit means the museum will only be able to welcome 15% of the usual number of people, so guests are being asked to support the museum at this tricky time by very kindly donating the price of extra tickets for as many ‘imaginary friends’ as they can.

The museum reopening on Thursday 10 September comes just three days before the world will celebrate Roald Dahl Story Day (13th September).
